If you're a fan of typography, I highly suggest checking out Words Are Pictures. I was pleasantly surprised to find the first two featured pieces for two of my most decadent passions - BMW and Persian poetry. Call it synchronicity, if you will. Maybe it's just a stroke of sheer randomness.

Mad Men open

It's been a long while since the advertising industry hailed the 3 Martini Lunch, and that may be the reason why I don't work in an ad agency...but that's no reason not to check out this show.

I've been meaning to catch this AMC original for quite some time, and I think this is the week to do it. Gonna catch the 13 episodes from season 1. So far, my report is, so good.

Be sure to check out the opening credits. Elegantly simple, but fabulous, dahling.

what on earth is a girl to do when she questions what she is doing with her life? does graphic design help the world in any way? am i part of an evil system that compounds and festers all that lies in its path? is this my calling? does destiny exist? if i am to be the best person i can be without enlisting in the US reserves, is graphic design the career path for me?

at the moment, i have no answers. i'm pondering. and when i freak the funk, i take to the book. some like to drink. some like to smoke. i like to turn pages. it's what academic freaks like me turn to.
